Electrocardiographic Observations on Wolff - Parkinson - White Syndrome

Abstract

|
|
Clinical and electrocardiographic observations on 20 cases of Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome were made and following results were obtained.
1. Incidence of W-P-W syndrome was 0.09% of electrocardiogram of Woo Sok and Hanil hospital and male-and female ratio, was 3:2.
2. Sixteen patients (80%) had no evidence of organic heart disease. Four cases had organic heart disease, of which there were two hypertensive heart disease and two atherosclerotic heart disease.
3. Eight patients (40%) showed QRS configuration of group A and 12 patient (60%) of group B of Rosenbaum.
4. There were eight patient with paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia, one patient with paroxysmal ventricular tachycardia, two patients with artrial fibrillation and 4 patients with ventricular premature beat.
